12 gauge ammo submerged under water, would it still fire?

Went hunting and had all of my 12g shells in a plastic bag... Bag went completely under water. When I got home I forgot to dry off the ammo.. About a month later the shells show signs of rust.. Should I dispose of this live ammo or would It be OK to take out hunting again?
