Help on bonding bunnies?

I have a male neutered Hotot bunny. He lives outside in a large hutch and is taken out to get gr daily. I feel like he would get bored and lonely even with toys all day when im at school and cant let him out to play. I would love to get him a play mate. I did some research and now know to keep them in separate hutches and let them play when im there. He is two years old. Any tips or ideas? Thank you very much!!!!!! <3
