What can I do to keep fit over the winter months?

I've been walking for exercise, at a good steady pace for 45 minutes just about every day after work. I really enjoyed doing this for exercise. Now the days are getting shorter and it's getting dark earlier, sometimes it's dark before I return back home. I don't like walking in the dark and soon it will be too snowy and cold to comfortably walk the way I've been walking. I don't want to go all winter with no exercise so what can I do for the winter months to replace walking?

Corzine wants to privatize the turnpikes so he could reduce costs. That is how bad we are as a state! NJ is a liberal state, with programs like you mentioned. But families are moving out, property taxes are extremely high and I'm not even a homeowner but they do have it tough. To answer your question the states do have the right to have these programs but how will they fund it? By forcing people like do for everything? Having monetary problems and to look for ways to subsidize these programs because too many people depend on it? It all ends badly.

I stand in my driveway, watching cars go by. It’s just after dawn, and still chilly. I’m waiting for a specific pattern. The cars are almost silent, and they zoom by like they are on a highway. My neighbors lawn sprinkler is just barely misting me everytime it points to the far left, and its making me chilly, but I don’t, can’t move, yet. Question about pain medication?

I'm currently prescribed to Prednisone, Celebrex, amitriptylene hydrochloride, and 5mg oxycodone for fibromylagia and arthritis pain. My doctor and I were discussing a stronger pain medication for in the morning because that's when I hurt the most (endocet 10mg), and using the 5mg oxycodone for breakthrough pain. I can't get to my regular doctor for another two weeks, and the morning pain is too much now that I've found something that helps. Can I go to another doctor in the meantime and explain my situation? I don't have insurance, so I want to be clear about what I need if I call another doctor so I don't have to go there multiple times and pay out of pocket. Any ideas?

Tattoo placement preference...inner arm or upper thigh?

i'm planning for my first tattoo in the next few months and i cannot decide which location to put it. I'd like a dagger on my upper inner arm or very high up on the top of my thigh...so only if i was wearing shorts you could see it. i know from a business standpoint the leg seems much easier and no one is going to see. But i really like the idea of getting a Japanese dagger down my upper inner arm. Obviously there are 3/4 sleeves and since it won't be on the outside as long as I keep my arms at my side no one could see it if I needed to hide it. However I also don't think the dagger would look at cool on my upper thigh, so i was thinking about getting something else there instead. Either way which location do you think would be best, no lower back or ankle tattoos. i want it in a more "unique" location. Thanks

I met a woman recently on a course and for any other people on the course, she was incredibly negative about their plans for the future and she could not see the value in anything that was not a completely utilitarian, pragmatic degree. One man was studying his PHD in I think emmigration demographics for Ireland with a view to becoming a lecturer but this woman was like 'but, sure what can you do with that?'. This woman is in her thirties and a speech and language therapist and she sounded like such an ignorant idiot. Why in such instances is it natrually umed that the older one gets the more 'mature one gets'? I am 21 and would not behave like this idiot. It was like she would put down anyone for anything they were doing because she couldn't see any value in it. I tend to think there is credit due to anyone pursuing education in whatever field and I don't like to put down peoples' career paths. I thought it was very rude of her to carry on like that..

I know that the Treaty ended WWI and the Fourteen Points was what Wilson wanted done after the Allies won the war (and I know that it was just another way for Wilson to set up the League of Nations). Why do so many people always overrate the ACC and the Big 10?

Neither conf. is even that good. OSU, Minny, and Iowa all had a scare on opening week. Illinois got manhandled by Mizzou in a season where Illinois was suppose to have a breakout season(Ron Zook sucks only 1 breakout season that’s all). While the ACC struggles like it always does, I mean Wake Forest losing Baylor, I know Baylor is underrated but there is no excuse losing to a team like Baylor. UVA, NC State, VT, and Duke all lost on opening week. While Maryland got destroyed by Cal by 39. Those 2 conf. are so overrated, the Big East is wayyy... better. I'm not saying the Big East is the best conf. but we've proven ourselves in the past in the regular season and in bowl games. Big East>ACC and Big East>Big 10. Big 10>ACC. The ACC is the worst BCS conf. cause they struggle to win regular season games/bowl games plus they get so many overrated highly ranked teams just because they have a conf. title game. That's some serious BS, just having a conf. title game shouldn't mean that much, I mean mid-majors have conf. title games too and they don't get the same luxury.

it sounds like you got some kind of all body schedule going on so if you just started out dont do more than 3 days a week. the first MONTHS are not about gaining as much as getting muscles used to lifting and the weights. after those few months are up you should be getting a schedule which divides ur muscles into groups of 2 or 3 per workout which is when you will be gaining more

I Feel Taken Advantages Of... And Neglected?

Best way to build an 8x16 shed without help?

I was originally planning to build each outside wall then put them onto the concrete slab with the help of one girl, but after realizing that each wall is going to be like 300 lbs or more, I'm wondering if its a good idea to build it in its position? By that I mean, place the bottom plate in its permanent spot, then put in 3 or 4 king studs and the top plate on top. Then just trying to slide all the other studs in between. I've never done this without building it lying flat, and not sure if it causes problems doing it this way (especially since you can only nail diagonally into the bottome plate).

Should we get a turtle for our family?

So, my husband and I have decided we might want to purchase a Red Eared Slider (Turtle). We were down at his mother's for Labor Day weekend, and she purchased one for his little brother. I absolutely adored this turtle, but thought perhaps the setup they had there was insufficient for a turtle. They simply have an aquarium with no water or rocks or background sitting on the floor behind his little brother's bed. Sometimes he'll fill the bath tub with some cool water and let her swim around and occasionally she will get to go outside. We were thinking a more appropriate setup would be a little more costly, probably around $100 or so for the turtle to be really happy in her environment. Any experience with turtles? i had a n95 gb and lost it, the insurance placed it with a c905 and i sold it within a week, and bought the noki1 5800. the c905 feels like a toy phone, and the 8mp camera is a waste because the screen resolution and quality is so poor. the only reason i chose it was because of the camera. poor phone. id take the jump to the touch screen one because thats the way there all going.

What is good for the liver? Milk Thistle? Standardized?

I've had an ongoing problem with my liver for ages. It's not hepatitis. I think it is related to my gall bladder. Anyway, Many years ago I got tremendous relief by taking liquid milk thistle with an eye dropper. I have tried tablets and capsules since then, but they don't seem to have a noticable effect. There is also "standardized" and "total herb" versions of it, and the makers of each say their's is superior. Milk thistle seems to be the only treatment to improve liver function and promote healing of the dead liver cells. I would appreciate some feedback.

all i can say it that i have been in that boat honey. if it is a bfn then it is what it is. it is hard isn't it? the thing is that it is a new beginning at the end of every cycle. put your energy into the fact that you don't have to worry about or test or anything. as ovulation gets closer then you can start to have more on your mind. :) i have been trying to keep myself busy and not think about it this week. hard!! if it has been a year then you should really be thinking about getting more agressive about your approach to ttc. visit your doctor and be upfront and blunt and tell him or her what it is that you want and some ideas you may have about what to do next. there are lots of things out there to try....even though some are prricy. if he wont help go to someone who will. i thought for sure this was my month. had dreams about it and symptoms that i just don't normally get. just like clockwork though af showed her ugly face! uggg!! on an upnote....if you implanted late you might not have enough hormone in your system to show up yet. you could have just implanted a few days ago and not had the time to make enough hcg yet. being late is a good thing. dont stress about the bfn just yet. some women have to waite until like 19dpo to get a bfp even on a blood test. if you think you might be pregnant then take the guess work out of it. go get a beta hcg done. it is the most accurate and will tell you down to the exact number if you are pregnant or not. if you are still negative then take reurance that you have this month to try as well. get on your doctors to help you be more agressive with your efforts..clomid, ivi ect. lots of baby dust to you honey and keep your head up. a lady i work with tried for over 3 years and just had her first little miricle about 4months ago. it can happen even when it seems hopeless. :)

Black smoke coming from exhaust, burning oil?

I recently(less than 8 months) got a new 350 put into my car and noticed that black smoke comes from the exhaust when ever you hit the gas petal, the more gas you give it the more smoke comes out. My friend said he thinks that maybe some of the rings have gone bad on the pistons, is this possible being such a new engine? I am an American (born in USA) living in Canada (also have naturalized Canadian citizenship) and I feel they can't build the fence fast enough! In fact, build one on the border with Canada, too (they are working on it). A fence would not hinder me going back and forth as I please because I do it at the legal border crossings. A fence will NOT keep people imprisoned inside the USA, they will be as free as ever to come and go between the countries legally. It is only those who choose to try to cross illegally (because they obviously have criminal records or diseases that would not allow them to cross legally or because they are trying to bring drugs or weapons across - and these are the people who should NOT be allowed to go between the countries, anyways!) whom the fence will help to keep out of the USA. Build the fence and it is not the business of anyone else in the world! If Mexico really wanted to not have the fence built, they would be doing something seriously constructive about stopping their people from crossing into the USA illegally. It is the illegal activities of their people in the USA (and those of Central Americans who also come illegally through the southern border) that have caused the necessity of this fence to be built! If Mexico were really concerned with trying to keep good relations with the USA, they would stop their people from coming illegally to the USA!

Got arrested while cleaning up a friends house after a huge party. was subsequently found with a small amount of cl b on my person though, it was inside a tobacco pouch i had picked up during my cleaning escapades and therefore was unknown to me. I refused the police caution on this merit, arguing that i had done nothing wrong and was unaware of it being there. I was arrested and brought to the cell, interviewed, bailed and received a 'No Further Action'. Will this affect my job prospects and show up on enhanced police checks because this is a disgrace for me given that i was only really guilty of trying to help people clean their house after they had a party? Pretty different. And one is not better than the other -- just different. The soprano is the traditional uke sound, which is plinkier. Should I be feeling guilty for not telling my coworker the truth?

Drama drama drama is what I stay out of but sometimes it just seems to find me. There are alot of changes going on at work right now but I am happy to know that my position is safe. However, my coworker/friend is not so lucky. I found out that his job may very well be in jeopardy. The thing is, I found out from my manager and of course I am not to say anything. When someone tells me not to say anything, I don't, end of story. But I feel bad and it's eating me up because my coworker has NO CLUE. He knows there are going to be changes but umes it is going to be someone else losing their job. When he finds out the truth he is going to fall over. And when he does find out, I'm going to have guilt that I knew all along. The reason its bothering me so much too is that someone is "telling" on him and I know who it is. I would much rather work with the one that is losing his job because we have always "had each others backs" and have become friends. The whole situation sucks and I would have rather been left in the dark.

I know two people who have lived for decades in different parts of Africa. They both conclude that it is a basket case with no sign of improvement given tribal values, lack of industriousness, personal integrity and of course a high birth rate. Sounds harsh, but it was pointed out to me that other third world areas are advancing economically, their people are more successful in integrating and succeeding legitimately in the West and countries like Ghana which is peaceful only serve to highlight the situation. Stopped going to gym for a month and came back stronger than before?

Im 16 years old. I stopped going to the gym for over a month. I went back yesterday, the first thing I noticed was that I was able to lift 70kg for 5 repetitions. Before I was unable to get past 65! Another thing is that I was drinking alcohol every weekend and not keeping a good diet. How is this possible? Could it have been strength from the months of workouts that hadnt kicked in yet? How can I decrease friction and add traction to my mousetrap car?

I have used graphite as a lubricant. My back wheels are CD's and my front wheels are pinewood derby racer wheels. As traction, we were going to use foamy double stick tape and put sand paper over that. Does that sound good? Our car goes a litlle over 6 meters... How can we improve the distance while not dramatically altering our design. And don't say increase the axle to wheele ratio because i already did that.

How many people love to climb trees as much as I do?

I am 14 and I have two nearly identical Pin Oaks in my front yard. I have measured the height of how high I climb in each of them-the north pin oak: exactly 40 feet and the south pin oak: close to 45 feet. The trees both stand about 52 feet tall and are 24 years old. They are about 30 feet apart from each other (the lower limbs of both trees touch). I just LOOOOVE to climb them every day. I've climbed both of them so many times that I can climb them with my eyes closed and in the north pin oak (the easier one to climb), I can reach 40 feet in 23 seconds. The other one when raced to the top took 46 seconds. They are so easy to climb, they are like ladders. The view is amazing. I can see into 4 towns, as the terrain in my location is hilly. I can see the hospital which is 1.82 miles away (it is easy to see at night because it has a rotating multi-colored light). Both trees provide a great view of migrating birds (especially geese). More about my tree climbing in the next section.........
