Toothaches and earaches?!?

I had a severe toothache for like 5 days straight. It was so severe I couldnt sleep or eat. My gum was very sore and red. well the throbbing pain of the toochache kinda went away but its still very sore and hurts to eat...well today both of my ears started hurting severly! Whats wrong with me?! Should I go to the hospital? Somebody told me that I had infection spreading and if it went to my brain that I could die. Is this true?! Please let me know asap! Thanks
