Maybe if you got the facts about the military, compare all of the branches, and learned what you want out of it and write it down that could help. If you sit them down and say I would like to talk to you about something, and ask them to listen to you for 5 minutes. Then present your case, make sure it is well thought out with facts and proof, that this is a good choice for you. Maybe that could open up some doors. Try a site and do some exploring, you do have time to think on it. Maybe you could Join ROTC and get a feel for it.
